Predictions

Last week I started reading The Hungar Games and so far I am just learning about some of the characters. I have only read the first chapters but they have a lot of action in them that makes me want to keep reading! For example the author always draws out suspense when the names are being drawn for the games, the author stretches out that moment as long as possible to make the book more suspenseful. So far I am learning about Katniss's relationship with Gail and how they are friend who enjoy being in the woods. After that everyone gets called to the meeting to see whose name will be pulled, and who will participate in the Hungar games. This book also shows many emotions of the characters because nobody wants to have their name drawn, so it makes the book even more interesting.

A prediction I have for reading the next chapter is once Prim name is called, I think someone else will volunteer themselves so that she won't have to go. It was already a surprise enough because her name was only entered once because she was only 12 years old. Katniss's name was entered about 20 times and others names were in there more. I believe it will be Katniss because she has an interest at hunting that could help her survive the Hungar games. From learning about Katniss in the first chapter, I could tell that she would do anything to make sure that Prim wouldn't get chosen. She made sure her name was only in there once when it could of been in more. I can't wait to see what will happen next.
